Another Napkin Pirates’ Ballet Lesson Done!

So, remember when I said that I was going to give ballet another try. Well, I did. Tonight, I had my other ballet lesson and it sucked. I’ve never felt so embarrassed in my life. The instructor made us do “ballet moves” in front of the rest of the class. Me, being the newest napkin pirate in the class, of course was the worst. I even had some fellow napkin pirates laugh at me.

All I can say is that I am still not giving up. This napkin pirate is going to learn ballet. You wait and see. And to all of the napkin pirates out there hating on me and laughing at me. Wait until the end of June, when the napkin pirates ballet recital happens. I will out-shine all of you.

Ballet, here I come. I will soon be the best napkin pirate ballerina ever.

I’m Still a Sore Napkin Pirate!

I woke up this morning and I could hardly move. Just to refresh your memory, I went to the Napkin Pirates recreational facility yesterday to take a ballet lesson. I wanted to try something new since it was Spring and it’s usually the time for that. Let me tell you, very few napkin pirates can do ballet. It’s kind of an wierd. It’s soft, because you have to be graceful, yet tough, because those movements are hard (and if you don’t believe me, you go try it and tell me how you feel in the morning).

I talked with some of my other napkin pirate associates who had tried ballet before and they told me to hang in there. They said that it is always hard the first time, but after a few more lessons, I’ll catch on and may even like it. So, this napkin pirate has decided to stick it out. I will take another ballet lesson. You know, napkin pirates don’t give up that easy. Going by that mentality, I guess I will be in ballet again tomorrow night. Wish me luck.

An Update from this Napkin Pirate’s Ballet Lesson

Boy oh boy, am I tired. I just came from my ballet lesson and it was brutal. Every single muscle in my body aches. Don’t ever think those professional ballerinas are punks, cause they ain’t. I bet there are very few napkin pirates that can hang with them. I am one of the many napkin pirates that decided to try something new and I got my little feelings hurt.

First, the instructor told all of the new napkin pirates to the class to stretch for about 10 minutes, which I did. Then, she showed us all thes”basic” ballet moves. Well, all I can tell you is that napkin pirates do not move their bodies that way, so it was difficult for me. Then, after seeing how bad of a job the napkin pirates in the class were doing, the instructor kicked us out. She said that the napkin pirates, with the exception Bobby, Sue, yes, I said Bobby Sue, was making a mockery of her class. Just to get you up to date, Bobby Sue is a “goody two shoe” napkin pirate that everyone hates. So, back to the story. I ended up leaving the ballet class early, and very glad to do so. Let me just say, ballet is not for napkin pirates. Tiarra or not. I think the only napkin pirate that can handle ballet is Bobby Sue, which leads me to question whether or not he is a real napkin pirate or not.

This Napkin Pirate is on to New Things

So Spring is here and usually the time we all have “new beginnings.” Of course, New Years brings that feeling along as well – but Whatever, just humor me for a minute. Napkin pirates, typically, value this whole Spring thing because it gives us reason to try something new. So yesterday, I sat, and I thought, and thought, and thought. What new thing could I try this year. Ah- Ha! I’ve got it. There’s this Napkin Pirates recreational center downtown and they offer ballet classes. That’s what I’ll try.

I know you are all thinking, what the hell is a napkin pirate doing taking ballet. Well, it’s relaxing. It’ll calm my nerves, it’ll make me more “rounded.” All those reasons push me to want to try. However, please note, you will never see this napkin pirate or any of the other napkin pirates in a tutu. We have to keep that tough exterior. But we will wear tiaras because they are pretty and napkin pirates love being pretty.

I’ll keep you guys posted. There is a napkin pirates ballet recital every year. Maybe if I am good enough, I’ll be in it and you will all be invited. But first, let’s see how this first ballet lesson goes and I’ll get back to you.

The Napkin Pirate Easter Bunny

Okay– I love Easter but I also dread Easter to a certain extent. Most Napkin Pirates love Easter because its a good time to spend with your family. However, I somehow got the job of being the napkin pirate Easter bunny. So, on Easter, the Napkin Pirates usually have an Easter egg hunt, if the weather permits, which is always does. And I get the joy of being the Easter bunny.

Don’t get me wrong. I love entertaining children and having fun. What I don’t lile is being in that hot napkin pirate easter bunny costume. It is so think and even though it get’s washed every year after I use it, it stills has this funny smell that makes me sick to my stomach. The good thing about this is that I only have to endure this for about an hour. But that hour can sometimes feel like an eternity.

So there you have it. Being the napkin pirates’ Easter bunny isn’t has fun or easy as it may look. I encourage any napkin pirate out there that thinks they can handle the job to step up because I am very ready to step down and give the job to someone else.

Spring Finally Makes it to the Napkin Pirate World!

Ok, Spring makes it to everybody’s world. I just thought I would be a good title. Let me see, what do I plan on doing for Spring this year? Well, I definitely need to clean out my closet. You should see it. Not to mention the hundreds of napkin pirates T-shirts I have, I have a lot of clothes, most of which I should throw out and give to Goodwill or some of my younger (smaller) napkin pirates friends. So — Spring cleaning is definitely on the list. Oh– also, I need to contact one of my fellow napkin pirates. I have seen this napkin pirate in about 6 years. She is supposed to be in town this month, so I definitely need to get in touch to make sure we don’t miss each other again.

Another thing to do this Spring is get my body right. I have gained quite a bit in the Winter and need to get that off and then some. Most Napkin Pirates are in shape, so I need to make sure I stay up to par. All I know is Spring is a new beginning. Not just for me and all napkin pirates, but also for the world. The new flowers bloom, the birds mate — it’s just lovely. I think this napkin pirate has caught Spring fever.

My Big Napkin Pirate Performance Review

So tomorrow, I have my napkin pirates performance review. Just like any other job, we have to account for our work over the last year. It is, a bit, nerve recking. But I know how to handle it. The head napkin pirates director has a meeting with us. He’s cool, just a bit intimidating. But I like hearing about all of the good I’ve done over the past year. The hard part, is hearing what this napkin pirate has done wrong and needs to work on . However, I just say it comes with being a napkin pirate.

If anybody out there has some tips for a napkin pirates performance review, let me know. I sure could use it. I love my job and I just wanna make sure that I am looked at as a napkin pirate that can be counted on. I feel I am reponsible and very competent. Most napkin pirates can be a bit arrogant. Not me. I just want to make sure my napkin pirate boss sees the good in me– not the bad napkin pirate.

Recap of Napkin Pirates’ Saint Paddy’s Day

So you wanna know how my night went? Well, let me first start off by saying it was a blast. I arrived at the Bandit Club around 7:00 last night. There had to be about 200 napkin pirates there at that time. Around 10:30, there was a full house. I’d say there were anywhere from 500 to 750 napkin pirates. The place was packed. There was great conversation, great music, great food and drink. All of my favorite pals showed up and I, as always, was the DD (designated driver). I never mind because I am not that much of a fan of drinking. Don’t get me wrong, I love a glass of wine every now and then — you know, keep it classy. But unlike most Napkin Pirates, I don’t mess with the hard liquor or beer.

The one advantage of being the DD is that you get to see you friends act like total idiots and humiliate themselves. It’s like a free comedy show. I got all of my pals home safely and arrived home around 2:30. Not a wild Napkin Pirates Saint Paddy’s day, but a good one. Now, back to the real world of napkin pirates.
